Pics of the Day; Saturday in the Yard

It was a beautiful, sunny, cool day in the yard. Perfect for working the landscape chores, and resting to catch some photos. Enjoyl

This male Ruby-throated is diligently guarding the feeders.

But even a good guard has to scratch that itch sometimes.

He perched a little closer to give me some detail.

Just enough sun to run a 1/4000 series in flight.

No throat showing, but stopped the wings.

My idea of the hovering angel over the ark.

White-crowned sparrow still with us, and hopped up on one of the new, very white limestone landscaping blocks.

Bewick's Wren was chattering around the garden today.

 Cardinal enjoying the feeder offering.

 My guard flashing his colors.

The female Brown-headed Cowbird. Oh, the shame!

Male Brown-headed Cowbird, shame, shame, shame!
