Traveling CR 200 in Liberty Hill, Texas, one is treated to a variety of birds, mostly Scissor-tailed Flycatchers, Red-tailed Hawks, and the American Kestrel. Jan spied him today, and made a plan for me to capture a shot.
We circled around, rolled down the window, and I started firing out the passenger's window.
Not sure if he was reacting to our presence, but he decided to move.
Beautiful little bird, but deadly to small varmints and small birds. Saw him later chasing his lady friend around the area of the first entrance to Sundance Ranch.
