Pics of the Day

Putting in lots of hours at the office, so I get there early enough to spend a little time greeting the day on the deck, along with the early morning breakfast buffet crew.

Daddy Painted Bunting is faithful at the buffet.

His wiffy and kids are around as well, just not up for pics today.

Carolina Wren is noisy and searching for goodies.

And having a bad hair day.

Back at the garden, the hummingbird is checking out the herbs.

Pics of the Day

A summer day with full sunshine and a garden full of bird and butterfly attracting flowers. What I call heaven on earth!

Female Black-chinned hummingbird at the zinnias.

 And the morning glory.

Taking a break on the big star, but conveniently close enough to get a sip.

The climbing morning glory has wrapped around the zinnia to the left, displaying an unusual leaf configuration.

The orange of this one is almost blinding!

The Tiger Swallowtail butterfly checking out the zinnias.

God's glory revealed in His creation.

Pics of the Day

Busy Friday at the office, with all variety of birds at the feeders. We even had a rare visitor, a female Hooded Oriole. Enjoy today's pics.

Young male Painted Bunting, bringing on those colors.

 Male House Finch

Just the right light to show off his colors.

Not the best focus, but love the hummer action shots.

Knew that black face was not one of our regulars. She's a Hooded Oriole, a little north of her regular migration path.

Close with an unwanted visitor, but everybody's got to eat!
