Another day for the record book in terms of beauty and weather. And always good to make a run to Darwin and Nelda's lake getaway, where I can always count on getting a good bird shot. This time a Roadrunner in bluebonnets.
White-crowned Sparrow still hangin' in the yard. Guess it just hasn't got warm enough yet around here for him to head north.
Positioned in the garden to get some action at the salvia, and the Black-chinned was obliging.
Amaryllis continues to amaze us with this years showing.
Frozen in place.
Ladderback woodpecker was in the oak nearest the porch for a bit.
We made a run with our church group to a friends house on Lake Buchanan, viewing the bluebonnets, and then bbq at Cooper's Llano. We spied this guy just outside the fenceline. There are wildflowers filling the shoreline just now.
So we caught a few bluebonnets as our background. Mr. Roadrunner was not impressed nor intimidated by my presence.
