Late Summer Catchup, Vol. I

Whew! The summer pix had really piled up since I couldn't post to the blog, just got lazy. So they are all edited, hundreds deleted, and you get the best of the late summer catchup. Enjoy my offering.

The female Painted Buntings were really active around the feeders at the office deck.

And it became obvious that the male Painted Buntings had been active as well!

The babies really started their constant chirp that means 'feed me, feed me!' This day mom was harassed by two of the stinkers all over the tree.

 Line up!

 All right already!

Here's one of our males that was visiting the feeders at the office. Never ceases to amaze and excite.

You can tell a young one by the fact that there is still a little tell-tale remnant of the 'baby beak' there on the corner.

A rare sight at the office deck water bowl. This must have been bath day for this Cardinal!

More feeding of whining babies; this time back at the house close to the drip at the lantana.

The Bronzed Cowbird still shows up some at the office.

The female House Finch, very abundant at the office.

A young female House Finch, still sporting some pin feathers on her head.

This young Mockingbird started showing up at the office deck, not sure why. Maybe just the general activity that accompanies full feeders.

Back at the house, stationed myself close to the old bird bath, and waited for the Chickadees to come around.

We close volume one with a shot of the young House Sparrows chowing down on my bargain feeder from Tuesday Morning. Those are knockout roses in the background.
