We wrapped up the week at the office with a couple of cold, sunny days. Perfect for camping out near the window at the deck, stalking my regulars at the various feeders. Enjoy.
This guy has an injured leg, and always keeps it tucked in. But it doesn't seem to inhibit him from coming around to the watering dish or suet to get a snack.
The wind was whipping up, and caught him from behind, fluffing out his (or her) feathers like a skirt caught in the wind.
Catching the Ruby-crowned Kinglet in the sun was a treat for me this day.
I was sure he would give me a good showing if I just stayed in place.
Incoming!
Male Lesser Goldfinches at the thistle feeder.
And sure 'nough, Ruby gave me a good flash of how wide that crown is!
